Blizzmax Art Gallery Studio was founded by grape grower, wine maker and architect graduate Alice Mennacher and artist Peter Mennacher – etcher, painter, wood carver. Between games of tennis and fishing, gardening and making art, they are summertime hosts to some of the most exciting contemporary art shows between Montreal and Toronto. Peter passed away in March 2021. Alice continued to showcase Peter’s art and host other artists in their gallery. Alice and Peter were recipients of the inaugural Community Arts Builder Award by the Prince Edward County Arts Council in 2019.
The former gallery Blizzmax was situated in a restored barn in the beautiful region of South Bay in Prince Edward County.
