Come celebrate the craft of writing, and the writers of the Wind and Water contest.
Writers will be invited to read stories of prose and poetry, showcasing writers, who have placed in that contest. A bit about the nature the DimeStory (a complete story in 5-minutes):
Writers will be invited to read stories of prose and poetry to transport the audience on a warm summer afternoon. We are looking to blur the boundaries between prose and poetry and simply offer the audience delicious story-telling.
Also called Flash nonfiction or fiction, the writing requires an alertness to detail, a quickening of the senses, a focusing of the literary lens, so to speak, until one has magnified some small aspect of what it means to be human.
